Our Growth Mindset cards have the power to change the way your child views themselves.
The therapeutic effect of our colour and action cards aims to promote a healthy mindset.
The cards enable children to reflect on thoughts and feelings through meaningful acts and demonstrate how they can portray these emotions in their daily life.
The Science Behind Our Cards
The self-affirmation theory demonstrates how individuals positively affirm to maintain a sense of self-integrity. This means we can create an overarching view of our identity (ex. I am a good person) which can then be applied in various contexts and situations in our life (I am a good student and I am good daughter/son). It shows a feeling of adequacy, to be good enough to complete a task and be worthy of the praise given.
These cards can also be used in therapy with young people to enhance their self-esteem, self-concept and as a result develop their resilience.
- Drawing enables children to express feelings and emotions that can’t be verbally said.
- Colouring helps them focus their attention, spark creativity, and be relaxed.
- Listing out steps encourages reflective thinking and decision-making.
How to Use It
- Create a fun, daily practice of connection as you discuss power words that your child will carry with them throughout their life.
- Explain to your child why it's important to develop a positive affirmation habit.
- Repeat the affirmation cards 5-10 times a day in a positive way.
- Set an example by doing it yourself. Be a model. Children imitate their parents. Practice with your child or do it together as a family.
When to use it
- First thing in the morning to start the day off on a positive note. You could place the card on the bathroom mirror for them to read while they’re brushing their teeth.
- Before sleeping to allow thoughts to enter the subconscious mind. You could pick a card with your child at night which resonates with how they are feeling. It's a helpful way to bond, teach, reflect, and end the night on a positive note.
- Whenever your child needs support.

This too shall pass.
This is a mantra I need to follow. And you should too! Why?
Because after a storm passes, we see rainbows as a symbol of hope and promise, that reminds us that better things are coming. They lift our spirits high and remind us that, no matter what, there’s always light ahead.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve struggled with dwelling on things that didn’t matter, making it hard to switch off. I was always finding something to stress about, and panic attacks were my constant companion. This took a toll on me, and then, a few months ago, I was diagnosed with a heart condition.
Suddenly, I found myself in the middle of a storm, desperately waiting for the rainbow to appear. My anxiety increased. I was afraid—for me, for my husband, and for my two young children. I knew weathering the storm was part of life, but that didn’t make it feel any easier.
As time went on, my daughter started to worry too. She became fearful and wanted to be close to me all the time. I knew I needed to do something for our emotional well-being—and quickly.
With my background in Behavioural Science, I took a big first step and created a set of cards to help us navigate through these challenging times, teaching children they have the power to change how they view themselves. These cards weren’t just for my daughter—they were for me too. We worked together to come up with ways she could use them, and so, our Growth Mindset Cards were born.
Something changed and it was big for us. I did not worry about the “maybes” from the scenarios in my head. My daughter had the cards as her guidance and as a result, she is calmer and more collected. We learnt how to take each day as it comes and enjoy it to the fullest. The cards have made a huge difference to our mental health.
Now, with the kids getting older, they’re excited to get more involved in creating and sharing mindfulness products with you all! We’re expanding our collection to include a variety of tools designed to nurture emotional well-being and manage anxiety—like our Pocket Pals (the cutest hand-knitted friends who are always there when you need a little positivity) and Heart & Butterfly Pocket Hug Card Sets, with many more to come.
We want to spread happiness, help both children and adults feeling anxious, and provide tools that make a difference. Together, we can prepare to weather the storm and enjoy the rainbow on the other side.
